Please check out the lovely recipe & guest post from Ria over at Vibrant By The Spoonful  using our beautiful organic & Canadian grown Seabuckthorn Wellness Matcha.

As someone who has suffered from adrenal fatigue in the past, my tolerance for caffeine has always been quite low. I even don’t even tolerate green tea or Matcha very well! Oh how I longed for a similar counterpart. Then along came the SBT Wellness Matcha and I immediately fell in love for its many healing benefits.

It may not be your traditional Matcha tea but it sure packs a powerful nutritional punch along with its anti-inflammatory properties. My favourite part about the tea is that it not only has a similar taste to green tea (without the bitterness) but it also gives me a steady boost of energy without a mid-morning crashing.

Today I’ll be sharing you my go-to supercharged Matcha latte inspired brew using the SBT Seabuckthorn Wellness Matcha. This latte is truly a creamy delight, filled with healthy-fats along with protein in order to keep you satiated and fuller for longer. It allows for a slow release of energy thanks to the SBT tea powder and the medium-triglycerides of coconut oil.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 Tsp of SBT Wellness Matcha
  • 1 Tbsp of coconut cream from a BPA-free can
  • 1 Tbsp of coconut oil
  • 1 Tbsp of raw honey for antibacterial properties (or other desired sweetener)
  • 1 scoop of organic grass-fed collagen powder
  • ½ cup of nut milk
  • ½ cup of boiling water
  • Blender or Milk Frother

note: to make this recipe 100% vegan swap out stevia for honey and leave out the collagen <3

  • Boil water and pour about ½ cup water into the cup with the SBT Wellness Matcha and mix until the powdered tea has dissolved.
  • In the meantime, slightly warm up your nut milk and pour into the cup along with your coconut cream, coconut oil and sweetener.

Blend the contents or simply use a Milk Frother until desired consistency.

Seabuckthorn Wellness Matcha can be enjoyed hot or cold and adds delciousness & nutrition to even baked desserts. To learn more & shop visit this link.
